Tube & Berger’s success has been ubiquitous in recent years with hits such as ‘Imprints Of Pleasure’ and ‘Come On Now (Set It Off)’ dominating the Beatport charts in spectacular fashion. Collaborating with Kittball favourite Milan Euringer, ‘Lovebreak’ was instrumental in the German duo’s explosive popularity and was one of their 4 Beatport top 10 hits of 2012. The track itself, with its sublime production, reached No.1 on Beatport’s Overall Chart – an unfaltering Beatport dominance fans are increasingly becoming accustomed to. Now a year and a half after its release the track has been passed on to a handful of Kittball favourites to shape it into their own.
First up, BETOKO & SamH3 kick off the package by using the original’s pulsating synths before a meaty bassline chugs along with emotive vocals resounding poignantly on top. In.deed then presents the second offering in the form of an upbeat number which comes complete with a playful hook and cheerful vibes geared for the summer’s sunshine. Next is Italian artist Simone Vitullo, who lays down a moody low-end groove broken up by piano chord breakdowns creating a peak time dancefloor anthem. Lastly, Wild Culture employ an atypical club sound by flipping the original on its head using whirring atmospherics and sporadic synth growls to generate a deeper and duskier cut altogether.
